The Department of Teacher Education provides a wide range of programs to support the interests of prospective and practicing P-12 teachers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Early Childhood program area, shared by the College of Education and the College of Health and Human Services, offers an undergraduate program leading to a teaching license in preschool (age 3) through grade 3.
The Middle Childhood program area offers three types of programs:

The Intervention Specialists (Special Education) program area offers three types of programs:
Multi-age programs are undergraduate programs leading to a teaching license in art, music, physical education, or modern languages in grades preschool (age 3) through grade 12.
The Curriculum and Instruction programs are graduate programs (master's and doctoral) with emphasis on teaching & learning, instructional design and curriculum development at all age/grade levels. The following specializations are available:
